Security Systems of America Overview

ssa-logoSince 1972, SSA has been providing residential and commercial security services to Pennsylvania and the tri-state area, including Ohio, West Virginia, and Maryland.  They use the latest technology, and provide custom packages that are designed to fit the individual needs of each family or business.  They’re one of the leaders in the tri-state area because they use innovative wireless devices as well as providing interactive mobile access.   They’re responsible for all installation and maintenance of their systems, and their staff is professionally trained and always available for help.  SSA seems to have very good prices, so if it’s just a basic package that you’re looking for, you can save a bit of money by going with this company.  They also provide more state-of-the-art packages that supply surveillance cameras.  SSA prides themselves on working to meet the exact specifications of their clients.  Their specialties include: panic alarms, burglar alarm systems, fire alarms, cameras and videos, access control, as well as 24-hour monitoring.  This is a good choice if you’re looking for the most innovative equipment and services at a reasonable price.

Security Systems of America Reviews

It’s hard to find any reviews of SSA that aren’t very positive.  Most customers seem very pleased with the prompt customer service and technological support.  Those who experienced a break-in while using the SSA system claim that response time was incredibly fast and theft was deterred because of the system.  A real human being always answers the phone when calling into SSAs control center, and these representatives seem to be polite, patient, and courteous.  There’s also some talk of the professionalism of all the staff at SSA.  The only fault that is to be found in this company is that there don’t seem to be any certifications from the Better Business Bureau, UL, or Five Diamond.  Having these kinds of certifications is a boost for any company, and proves that their employees are fully trained and their equipment and services have been vetted by professionals.  Even without these added awards, SSA seems to be doing a fine job and customers are pleased for the most part.  Their website is easy to navigate, but their packages don’t seem to be laid out as clear as other companies.  This is often a way to get customers to agree to a consultation.  However, the prices seem to be good and the feedback is positive.

Security Systems of America Equipment

The equipment that SSA uses seems to be pretty state-of-the-art.  Most packages will come with everything that you need to get your system started, and everything is professionally installed for a fee.  The 26 Zone GE Concord Control Panel can come in either wired or wireless format, depending upon what you’d like.  The keypad panel is fixed to the wall, is easy to use, and has 3 different emergency alert buttons.  There’s a wide range motion detector, door/window contacts, battery backup, indoor siren, and the standard SSA security yard sign.  A basic set of equipment will cost just about $50 to install, and this is seperate from the contract price.  Their PLUS package offers some more innovative equipment such as touchscreen keypad, interactive technology, and wireless access using your mobile phone. These more advanced features will cost about $100 to install.

Security Systems of America Home Security Packages

ssasecuritySSA offers a number of different packages for your home that can be used separately or in conjunction with one another.  Note that every package requires a 36 month contract as well as monthly monitoring fee.  The basic agreement comes out to just about $30-$50 a month.  If you choose to add video surveillance to your system, you get an added layer of protection for your home from theft, burglary, crime, and trespassing.  Their video system also comes with their remote viewing option, that allows you to watch live or pre-recorded video from any device that has an internet connection.  All in all, SSA provides custom plans to suit the individual’s needs.  Should you want the basic plan, you’re going to be saving a nice amount of money, and from there you can choose to beef-up your security even more with the added options that SSA provides.
