Loud Security Overview

loud-logoLoud Security is an Atlanta-based home and commercial security company that serves customers in 15 states. They offer a variety of Honeywell and First Alert security systems in addition to access control systems, fire protection, home automation, CCTV, and even central vacuum and home audio. Loud Security has its own central monitoring station 24/7/365 that’s CSAA Five Diamond Certified. The company has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 2009 and currently holds an A rating. Loud has only been in business since 1995 and has a small workforce of about 30 employees but has grown to become one of Atlanta’s most trusted security companies.

Loud Security Reviews

Atlanta-based customers appear mostly positive with Loud Security products and services. Their 24/7 central monitoring allows for round-the-clock service in the event of a break-in, fire, or other emergency. Fortunately, customers can get a free security package worth $895 for signing up with Loud, though the company requires a contract commitment of 60 months. Should a customer choose to cancel the contract sooner than the 60 month commitment, they are subject to paying the remainder of their balance, which starts at $20/month for monitoring services. That’s the downfall of going with a Loud system. There aren’t any notable customer complaints when it comes to service and monitoring, but in terms of price and sign-up commitments Loud is atypical in the securities industry. In the past three years there have been 12 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau, the majority of which stemmed from problems with products and services. Beyond that, there were three complaints filed for billing and collection issues and one sales-oriented issues.

Loud Security Equipment

Loud Security offers a wide range of residential and commercial security equipment, in addition to fire protection, CCTV, intercom systems, and whole home automation. The Products and Services page of the Loud website describes in more detail the offerings of the company. Most of Loud’s control panels, sensors, cameras, and other hardware is offered by Honeywell, though other brand-name products are available. As their products and services differ slightly with the security needs of each home and business, customers should inquire directly with Loud to find out which products will best suit their home or business.

Loud Security Packages

loudWhile Loud Security works with each customer to tailor a system that best suits their home, they offer an already-put together home security package with all of the basic home security components. The package includes a First Alert Honeywell Multi-Zone Control Panel, a digital LCD keypad, three hardwired door/window connect sensors, a passive infrared motion detector, interior siren, battery backup, phone jack interface, hostage/duress code, Loud lawn sign and window stickers, and a certificate towards a homeowners insurance discount. This is the package that Loud values at $895 but is available at no cost for a 60-month monitoring commitment upon sign-up. Customers can opt for this package and still add enhancement features and components to maximize their system. Otherwise, Loud will work with the individual customer to customize a package for them.

Loud Security Details

Loud Security is still a relatively young business with only a handful of employees and a few thousand customer. But after serving the home and commercial security needs of Atlanta-area customers for over a decade, Loud has grown to become one of the city’s most trusted security companies, and they now service customers in 15 different states. Loud uses top-of-the-line equipment and operates its own CSAA Five Diamond Certified central monitoring station. Though the Better Business Bureau has closed 7 complaints with Loud in the last year, and 12 total in the past 3 years, Loud still maintains an A rating with the organization.
