Bulldog Security Overview

bulldog-logoFor over 10 years now Bulldog Security has been serving the people of Atlanta, Georgia with their quality services and Honeywell security products.  They offer month-to-month contracts, which is a nice feature for those who are tired of having to sign large contracts with other security companies.  The only downside to these short contracts is that it means that up-front costs and installation fees can be quite high.  Nonetheless, Bulldog has a professional monitoring station that is UL listed and located in the Atlanta metro area.  Along with their Honeywell products, they also use other trusted names such as GE and DSC.  Bulldog is perhaps the most popular security company in the Atlanta area, and both their customers and employees seem to remain loyal throughout the years.

Bulldog Security Reviews

Customer reviews talk a lot about how happy they are that Bulldog does not try to lock its customers into long contracts.  In fact, you can cancel with Bulldog at any time when you give 30-days notice beforehand.  They are also popular with customers for offering wonderfully competitive prices, such as $15.95 per month.  Customers can rely upon the fact that fees will not change from year to year.  This kind of consistency is what keeps Bulldog’s customers loyal, and garners them many positive reviews on the internet.  All that being said, even though the contract is so cheap, customers have to pay for all the equipment up front, which can be quite expensive.  Unlike other companies that offer lifetime warranties on their equipment, Bulldog only offers a one year warranty.  This can be disconcerting if you’re going to be using your equipment for a number of years.  Nobody wants to be running a security system that doesn’t have a warranty to protect you from damage or malfunction.  According to the BBB, Bulldog only has 10 employees, and hasn’t been in business for all that long.  In fact, customers do note that it seems like Bulldog doesn’t seem to have the same level of experience as their competition.  However, even though Bulldog is a young company, they still seem to be earning a nice reputation as they get on their feet.  The month to month contract with no cancellation fee is really wonderful, and this company seems to be like a good choice if you’re a resident of Georgia.

Bulldog Security Equipment

Bulldog requires you to buy all your equipment upfront, but the good news is that this means that you own what is installed in your home.  They use a number of fine manufacturers such as GE, Honeywell, and DSC.  These are all brand names that are highly trusted in the security industry, so you can be confident that your equipment is going to run really well.  However, it should be noted that warranty only covers this equipment for one year.  This is a huge downside to going with Bulldog, but the equipment is of the highest quality to begin with.  Everything is professionally installed, and once you get started with your system the service over the phone at the monitoring center is incredibly helpful and employees can answer any questions that you might have.

Bulldog Home Security Packages

bulldogpsBulldog doesn’t get very specific on their website about the items that come included in your home security package.  However, you can be sure that you’ll be able to customize your package in a  way that best suits your needs.  Because they use a number of different suppliers for their equipment, you should even be able to choose what brand of system you install.  Because you’re purchasing all this equipment up front, it’s nice to be able to make all the decisions about what exactly gets installed in your home.  Bulldog’s monitoring center is fully UL-approved, and the staff is incredibly helpful over the phone.  You are guaranteed service 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.  To get a better idea about what your home package will cost, you need to begin with a free consultation from a trained technician at Bulldog. The company also makes it easy to switch service when you already have a system installed from another company.  There’s just a $50 reprogramming and diagnostic fee to begin with.
