All-Guard Overview

allguard-logoEstablished by the Cooke Family in 1952, All-Guard is one of the leaders in protecting families, homes, government buildings, businesses, and schools for well over 50 years now.  All-Guard works with over 15,000 customers, from schools to homes, families to Fortune 500 companies.  They are a national security company, and are able to provide service across the country.  Their services are said to be fast and friendly, and it’s always easy to connect to a live person right over the phone.  Even though All-Guard is a national company, they really do their best to provide services that feel like they’re totally local.  To get an estimate about how much it would cost to install an All-Guard system in your home, the first step you need to take is to schedule an evaluation.  At this time, a professional technician will inspect your home and inform you what the cost will be.  Employees are very loyal to All-Guard, and stay with the company for 10 years or more.   They get consistent A+ ratings with the Better Business Bureau.

All-Guard Reviews

The biggest complaint about All-Guard is that the products and services are quite expensive.  A technician alone will charge you $50 just to come to your home, and $120 an hour for their services, not including parts.  This is very steep, and customers find this to be a much bigger fee than is charged by All-Guard’s competitors.  Also, customers note that the repair technicians are not of the same high quality as the installation technicians and initial sales reps.  This can be annoying when you have such a great impressional of the professionals that installed your system, but the rest of the staff is not up to their caliber.  Also, All-Guard has acquired a number of different smaller insurance companies over the years, and if you were with one of them but were switched over to All-Guard, they may be unwilling to repair your damaged parts, and will perhaps just try to sell you new parts.  This is the only way they will make any money, so customers should really watch out for that.  They have no loyalty incentive programs, so there’s really no benefit to being with All Guard for a long time, customers say.  They also note that discontinuing with All Guard can be quite a challenge as well.  All that being said, All-Guard is family owned and growing rapidly.  They offer customized services, but it’s important to read the fine print on your contract before signing, so you don’t get more equipment than you need.

All-Guard Equipment

All-Guard provides a highly diverse amount of equipment that comes from a number of different suppliers.  Brand names and basic package equipment are not mentioned on their website, but because their packages are customizable, it’s important to ask ahead of time exactly what parts you’re getting, and be sure that you need all those items.  It’s possible to ask to remove certain pieces of equipment that are not necessary.  That being said, you may want to add more accessories to your package, such as video cameras, temperature and flood warnings, as well as fire protection equipment and panic alarms.  All of these features can be easily added to the basic package of equipment.

All-Guard Home Security Packages

allguardpsAs mentioned before, All-Guard does not mention what comes with their basic package of equipment, but they do state that their packages are customizable, so you should be able to pick and choose what you include in your home.  They do provide a lot of different systems to choose from, such as burglar alarms, fire protection, carbon monoxide detection, medical alarms, video solutions, monitoring solutions, All-Connect, temperature and flood indication, asset protection, outdoor protection, panic alarms, as well as a vast array of residential products to suit the specific needs of your home.  It’s possible to combine a number of these systems together for a fully unique package that is all your own.  All-Guard professional technicians take care of all the installation, and at that time are able to better explain to you the ins and outs of your system, and how you can use it optimally.
