acom-logoA.Com was established in 1973 and is one of the largest privately owned security companies in the country. This enables them to control the training of employees and maintain a high level of service that is provided consistently to customers. With headquarters in Columbus Georgia, they service the Georgia and Alabama markets.

The company offers the latest technology and surveillance equipment and stays on top of up and coming technology to provide customers with the best and most reliable products on the market. The monitoring system is provided in house, which results in faster response times and a higher level of service offered to customers. The monitoring center is UL certified and has received a 5 diamond rating. Less than 1% of security monitoring systems have been able to receive the 5 Diamond status, which is the highest rating offered in the industry. The facility also offers two backup generator systems which will provide uninterrupted service even in the event of a regional disaster. This ensures that every customer will remain protected.

With over 20,000 customers they are able to provide first class service to every customer, so each customer feels like they are receiving preferred treatment. Employees are well trained and knowledgeable. The company has a reputation for high quality and employees are encouraged to go above and beyond to meet customer needs.

A.Com Reviews

A.Com has maintained an A rating with the Better Business Bureau. There are very few customer complaints with the company and no unresolved issued with the BBB. They are considered to be one of the best companies in the region. They do require customers to sign a 48 month contract but it does not automatically renew. Upon renewal customers can choose to renew the contract or go month to month. The monthly monitoring fee is also reduced as the company has been able to recoup their equipment costs at that point. This is a refreshing change given that so many contracts auto renew locking customers into a new contract period. They also offer come of the most generous warranties on their equipment and generous cancellation policies of the customer moves out of the covered area.

A.Com Equipment

A.Com offers a wide range of monitoring equipment. This begins with basic wireless equipment that does not need access to a land line to operate. This ensures the system will work with no concern of the land line being cut to disable the system. Their free in home consultation will ensure that you receive a complete system that will secure the property to the level the customer is most comfortable with.

Systems can include burglary along with fire and emergency services. Upgrades can include video surveillance and home management options. With the A.com systems many homeowners find that they can save up to 25% off of their homeowners insurance. With the home management systems savings can be as high as 30%. This allows homeowners to adjust the temperature, activate locks, monitor and control lighting and appliances all from any location that offers internet access.

A.Com Packages

acomPackages start with basic burglary monitoring services and fire safety with smoke and fire alarms. A.Com uses the 2GIG systems which are all wireless based technology. This creates an easy system to install that is less likely to be tampered with. The installation of the system comes with a 24/7 monitoring for a monthly fee starting at $43.70 for 48 months. The installation fee for the basic package is $99.00.

Included in the basic package is a wireless control panel, 3 door and window sensors, 1 motion detector, key fob, sign and stickers for the home, 24 hour monitoring and access to the account remotely through a smartphone or other electronic device. When the contract has been fulfilled rates can be reduced to as low as $24.95, depending on the services being utilized.

Additional services like video surveillance and home automation can be added to the basic package for an additional fee. While customers are required to sign a 48 month contract the cancellation policy is one of the most generous in the nation. If a customer decides to cancel they are charged for the equipment but not the additional months of monitoring. The industry standard is that the full contract must be paid, even if the customer moves out of the service area.

Another huge benefit is the equipment warranty. Many companies only offer a 1 year warranty on the equipment even though the customer is under contract for several years. This can result in customers paying additional fees for service calls if the equipment is not working properly. A.com offers a warranty that covers the length of the contract so customers can be confident in what their security expenses will be and that issues will be resolved quickly and professionally.
